Karissa Titus
Cheer Director
Coach Karissa is a former cheerleader herself and started coaching as soon as she graduated high school. She brings over 16 years of coaching experience to OAX. During her career, Karissa has earned many national titles in the high school and all star divisions. Some of her accomplishments include: 2018 D2 Summit Champion, State & Americheer National Champion, D2 Summit Finalist & Summit Finalist, earned a full paid bid to Cheerleading Worlds and was a Finalist at Cheerleading Worlds.
Karissa is USASF certified in levels 1-6 stunting and tumbling. Karissa has a great background in the cheerleading world. She loves her family and loves working with athletes who strive for greatness. She is over the moon to be a part of the OAX Family and can’t wait for the future.

Alex Gonzalez
Cheer & Tumble Coach
Alex Gonzalez has been an all-star cheerleader since she was 8 years old. She is has been a 6x Cheersport Champion, 2x Jamfest Champion, UCA Champion, AND a Summit Champion. Alex has also been to Summit 6 years in a row and has made finals every year she has attended placing top 5 each year. Alex has been a base, flyer, and really pushes herself in tumbling. Alex has 6 years experience coaching cheerleading and tumbling. Cheerleading is her absolute passion and she loves working with all of the athletes at OAX! She hopes to improve younger athletes, and help them become a passionate cheerleader starting at a young age.
Michael Gonzalez
Cheer & Tumble Coach
Michael has been cheering for 8 years, two of which were here at Ocala Athletix. Michael has won numerous competitions including Cheersport, UCA, Jamfest Super Nationals, Summit, and Worlds. He finished his cheer career at Brandon Allstars where he became a Summit and World Champion in the same season. He attended the Cheerleading World Championship in 2021 & 2022, globing both times (gold in ‘21 & bronze in ‘22). Michael has been coaching tumbling & cheerleading for 5 years. Cheerleading has been his passion since the day he stepped on the cheer floor. He is excited to work with the OAX athletes and begin applying the skills and techniques he’s learned throughout his cheer career, from some of the best coaches in the industry, as a coach himself.
Emma Wood
Cheer & Tumble Coach
Emma has been an All star competitive cheerleader for 6 years , 4 of those years being here at Ocala Athletix. Emma has competed as a flyer in levels 1-4 along with plenty of experience in collegiate coed stunting. She is a 3x Cheersport national champion and has qualified for Summit every year she has cheered here at Ocala Athletix. Cheer has been a major part of her life and a passion of hers since she joined the OAX family. She absolutely loves working with all the athletes here at OAX and aspires to better them as athletes and grow their passion for all star cheer.
Brendon Davis
Cheer Coach
Brendon is a former OAX cheerleader. Cheering throughout high school, his passion for cheerleading brought him right back to Ocala Athletix to begin coaching after his last season as an athlete. Brendon is incredibly excited to further his coaching experience in the same place he once was an athlete. He is looking forward to continue to grow in this amazing sport and hopes to make a positive impact on athletes the way he was once positively impacted by his coaches. He cannot wait to watch the younger athletes he coaches grow up as cheerleaders and is proud to be a part of their progress. He is so happy to be a part of the OAX family.
Bella Adams
Cheer Coach
Bella has been an all-star cheerleader for 9 years. She also participated in sideline cheer for 6 years, Varsity lettering all 4 years of high school. She is a 3x Cheersport Champion, a 3x summit finalist, and has won numerous state and national competitions. Bella’s journey with Ocala Athletix started 6 years ago, but she joined staff in 2022. She has an unwavering love for cheerleading and the hard working athletes at Ocala Athletix. Her goal is to continue to grow and learn so she can teach skills in the best way possible while instilling confidence into all athletes!
Tyler Terry
Cheer Coach
Tyler Terry has been an all-star cheerleader since the age of 12. With 5 years of experience, he has competed from levels 1-4 at multiple prestigious competitions. He is a 2x defending Cheersport champion and has earned many states and national titles during his cheer career. Tyler also has a lot of experience in tumbling, with skills ranging from level 1 to level 7. As his knowledge and experience in the sport grows, he is looking forward to spreading that knowledge to the younger athletes at Ocala Athletix. Tyler wants to teach them the physical & mental strength it takes to be a competitive cheerleader, which he learned during his own all-star cheer career. This will help them become the best athlete they can be.
Jacob Mckenzie
Cheer Coach
Jacob McKenzie started all-star cheerleading at 16. Before cheering he danced competitively winning many national titles which led him to cheerleading. Since switching to all-star cheerleading, Jacob now is a 3x summit finalist, 1x Cheersport National champion, 2x UCA National champion, and Youth Summit champion. His passion for the sport is what drives him to want to continue to be involved in the sport even after his athletic career. Jacob started coaching at Ocala Athletix which guided him into other coaching jobs such as UCA Staff. He has also done choreography for OAX and local high school competitive cheer teams. As he continues to expand his coaching knowledge, Jacob hopes to make a positive impact on our athletes while pushing them to be their best.
